How to Fix a “BitLocker Recovery” Blue Screen

EyeDetect Stations are secured with Microsoft BitLocker, an encryption tool that protects data by encrypting the entire hard drive. Occasionally, a “BitLocker Recovery” blue screen may appear, temporarily locking the system.

This issue can result from:

1. Insufficient RAM
2. Sudden power loss
3. Firmware or BIOS issues
4. BitLocker or Windows file corruption

Steps to Resolve

1. Capture a Screenshot: Take a screenshot of the “BitLocker Recovery” screen, ensuring the “Recovery key ID” is visible.

2. Submit a Support Ticket: Email the screenshot to support@converus.zendesk to create a support ticket.

3. Receive the Recovery Key: Converus Technical Support will provide the recovery key.

4. Enter the Recovery Key: Input the key to restore system access.
