How to Show Seconds in the System Tray Clock on Windows 11

By default, Windows 11 does not display seconds in the system tray clock. However, you can enable this feature through the system settings. Follow the steps below to show seconds in the system clock.

Steps to Enable Seconds in the System Tray Clock

Open Settings:

  • Press Win + I on your keyboard to open the Settings app.

Navigate to Date & Time Settings:

  • Click on Time & language from the left-hand menu.
  • Select Date & time from the list of options.

Enable Seconds in the System Tray Clock:

  • Scroll down and click Show time and date in the system tray.
  • Locate the option Show seconds in system tray clock.
  • Toggle the switch On.

Confirm Changes:

  • You should now see seconds displayed in the system clock in the taskbar.

Additional Notes

  • If you do not see the option to enable seconds, ensure your system is updated to the latest version of Windows 11.
