The EyeDetect Station Won’t Sync

Problem: When I try to sync the station at work, nothing happens (it doesn’t sync.)  But when I use another Wi-Fi network, the station syncs without any problems.

*Note- when I try to sync the station at work I also notice that the box next to the text Network Interface is red instead of its usual green. 


Cause: For security purposes, some IT departments may have a firewall setting (also called outbound rules) to block web traffic through port 8080. If that rule is in place, the EyeDetect cloud server may not be accessible from the network.  This will make Syncing the station impossible.

Solution: To resolve, your IT dept. must allow to access port 8080. Once that is complete, you should not have problems syncing in the future.
