Release Notes 24 February 2016 Version 3.0

Converus DASHBOARD

new feature> Arabic added to available languages

The Converus Dashboard now supports Arabic, in addition to English and Spanish.  To change to Arabic, select “العربية” from the account number dropdown on the upper right corner of the dashboard.  The user interface will immediately switch to Arabic.

new feature> Eyedetect Report>Show/hide test Response detail

On the last page of the EyeDetect report, it is now possible to hide the test response detail (the section shown in red highlight below). This feature can be assigned by sub account. Contact Converus to enable this feature.

new feature> Eyedetect report>no score for random responding, low comprehension, Confession, or probable confession

When an examinee incorrectly responds to a high number of test questions, they will receive one of the following Test Results: “Random Responses or Low Comprehension” or “Probable Confession.”  These two results, along with a “Confession” when provided by the examinee, will no longer be shown in the Dashboard with a Converus Credibility score.  Any score calculated under these conditions will be unreliable and should not be used as guidance for accessing the credibility of an examinee.

new feature> Custom username/passwords

The Administrator can now assign a custom username and password to any user in their account or subaccount.  To do this, go to the Accounts tab in the Dashboard and then click on the user for whom you wish to create a new login. In the Manage Login box that will appear, scroll down to the section entitled “Alternate Login Credentials” (as shown below) and click on it. In addition to the original 10-digit account ID and PIN, the username and password entered here can be also used to login. The alternate username and password have certain restrictions, that are indicated below.

new Eyedetect manager

new software> EyeDetect Manager

EyeDetect Manager is a new software program that allows the EyeDetect Test Proctor to observe and simultaneously monitor up to four examinees during testing. It is designed to be used on the Microsoft Surface tablet or other Windows computer. Utilizing a rich data feed including video, testing parameters, and examinee test performance data, a Test Proctor can observe multiple examinees as if the Test Proctor were in the same room. This solution has an intuitive user interface to provide information with which to manage testing by giving access to important information in real-time. The software is free.

new feature> EyeDetect Manager install

To install EyeDetect Manager on a Microsoft Surface tablet or Windows 8 or Windows 10 computer, login to the Converus Dashboard while on that device/computer. Click on the Tools tab and then click on the EyeDetect Manager button (shown below). EyeDetect Manager will download and install. Contact Converus for more information on how to setup and use EyeDetect Manager.

EyeDetect Station

new feature> suppport for Arabic and European SPanish added

The EyeDetect Station software is now available in Arabic and European Spanish (Castellan). To change the language used in the EyeDetect software, click on the File menu and select Settings.  A Settings box (shown below) will open in which you may choose a different locale.  A program restart is required after making this change.

new feature> User interface change

Most of the screens in the EyeDetect software have been redesigned to support languages that read right-to-left.  Almost all of the user interface updates do not change the functionality or the data that appears on each screen. (See the Start Test box below.)

new feature> Simplified Telemetry screen

The telemetry screen has been simplified. To get the examinee seated in a proper position, the Test Proctor should align the examinee’s eyes, shown as white dots, with the cross-hairs in the green box (highlighted with a red box below). Items such as gaze and pupil diameter have been removed, but are still provided in EyeDetect Manager while the examinee is taking a test.
